1 lb Same
1 lb Guyana Dry Fish
2 1/2 tbsp curry powder
1 tsp roasted ground geera
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 medium tomato
Salt and Pepper to taste
2 tbsp chopped onion
2 tsp chopped garlic
1 1/2 tbsp oil
Boiling water
Clean the same and add to boiling water. Cook for a few minutes and drained. Set aside.
Cut the dry fish into small pieces, boil in hot water twice. Drain and set aside.
Combine curry powder and roasted geera together, and mix with 1 tablespoon water.
In a medium pot, heat oil and add garlic, then add onion and saute for a few minutes.
Add curry mix and continue to saute. Add chop tomatoes and same.
Let same cook for a few minutes. Add hot water to cover same, and cover the pot with lid.
Lower heat and cook until same is nice and soft.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Serve with rice or roti
Note: I used Indi Curry Powder to cook Same and High Water Dry Fish from Guyana
