2 cups Canilla Parboiled Rice
1 can pigeon peas
3 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tbsp oil
1 large onion-chopped
3 cloves garlic- minced
1 1/2 tsp ginger- chopped
2 tbsp green seasoning
2 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp ketchup
2 tsp salt
1 habanero pepper
About 4 or more cups of water
Cut chicken into chunks, wash and season with green seasoning and ketchup overnight.
In a large pot, heat oil, add sugar and caramelize. Add chicken and cook until chicken start to loose. Add onions, garlic and ginger. Cook for a few more minutes.
Add Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, salt and pepper. Cook until chicken is a little brown.
Add rice, beans, salt and pepper. Add hot water and continue to cook covered. Pelau is finish when all the water absorbs.
